My first word was 'quack,' so you could say I have been fascinated by birds since the beginning!
Having lived all of my life in the Okanagan Valley, I grew up on the edge of Rose Valley Regional Park. Here I spent my childhood exploring the hills and familiarizing myself with the unique biodiversity of the region.
I guided my first birding tour at 14 years old, and have developed a passion for environmental education, conservation and outdoor recreation. Most of my free time is spent documenting the spectacular birds of the valley, and exploring its remote hinterlands.
Today I am a proud community activist and conservationist. I am the Director of Conservation for the Central Okanagan Naturalists' Club, a board Director for the Central Okanagan Land Trust, and a seasoned interpretive guide, with 8 years of experience guiding in the valley.
